Ethiopia, a country known for being one of the most historically-rich countries, is now a part of our African network, increasing the number of our African branches to 55 in 44 countries.
|
Majestic Ethiopia, nestled in the horn of Africa between Eritrea and Djibouti in the north, Somalia in the east, Kenya in the South and Sudan in the west, is a country that has recently come alive with international trade and foreign investment.
AGS Frasers Ethiopia has proudly opened its doors in the city of Addis Ababa and is being managed by Raphaël Joly. This branch is located a mere 7 km from Bole International Airport, 7 km from the Container Terminal and 950 km from Djibouti port.
The core business provided by AGS Frasers Ethiopia is packing, as the provision of transportation services is reserved to be provided by Ethiopian citizens only.
The branch manager of AGS Frasers Ethiopia, Raphaël, was formerly a VIE (International Voluntary in Enterprise) who worked in Tanzania from 2004 to 2006. From 2006 to 2008, he worked as the deputy manager of AGS's Ghana branch.
We congratulate him on his nomination as the branch manager of AGS Frasers Ethiopia. We are confident that he will ensure that this branch and its capabilities will grow from strength to strength.
As the growth of the group is a part of our vision and mission, we look forward to creating new subsidiaries around the globe to strengthen the coverage and influence of our network
And soon to come in our next news, new branches are opening in Chengdu, China, and Chennai and Hyderabad in India.

AGS Grows in Eastern Europe |
|
 |
Belarus, a neighbour to Russia and Ukraine, is now home to one of the newest members of the AGS group - AGS Minsk. |
Minsk is the capital of and largest city in Belarus, with a population of over 9.5 million people, and is the major industrial centre in Belarus.
This subsidiary falls under the management of Rodolphe Millet. Rodolphe will work with Samuel Barrois, who will oversee this region which comprises of AGS Kiev and Minsk, due to the close proximity of these two AGS branches.
AGS Minsk is fully operational and is ready to handle all your international imports and exports.
We have entrusted the leadership of this project in the Ukraine and Belarus regions to Samuel, as he has proven himself with an efficient track record. Manager of AGS Kiev since October 2007, Samuel has been with the AGS group since January 2000, where he started as a VIE (International Voluntary in Enterprise) at AGS Kosovo and Macedonia. Samuel helped to set up the branches, recruit personnel and develop the operations. In April 2004, he took over the management of AGS Bratislava. During this time, Samuel successfully climbed the corporate ladder and become a key member of the Group. Samuel took over the management of AGS Kiev in October 2007, and will now be overseeing the operations of AGS Minsk too.
We welcome AGS Minsk to the AGS Group, and wish Rodolphe Millet and Samuel Barrois every success as this new subsidiary grows from strength to strength!

Fairmont Hotel Group Relies Upon the Expertise of AGS Frasers Kenya |
|
 |
The Fairmont hotel group recently requested the expertise of AGS Frasers Kenya to assist in the refurbishment of the famous five-star Norfolk Hotel in Nairobi. |
The contract included the collection and delivery of 20 containers, all containing antique-style furniture, which first had to go into storage at our 800m² warehouse in Nairobi. When the renovations at Fairmont’s Norfolk Hotel were nearing completion, the furniture had to be delivered to the hotel and reassembled on site.
Fairmont’s Norfolk Hotel has seen much change taking place in and around the city of Nairobi, where it has been in existence since 1904. This hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Kenya and, with its last renovation which was completed in time for its centennial celebration in 2004, the hotel boasts 168 guest rooms and suites, three conference rooms, a health club and gym, a heated outdoor swimming pool and a beauty salon, as well as gift shops and a book shop.
AGS Frasers is proud to have been involved in the refurbishment of Fairmont’s Norfolk Hotel, as this hotel has a vital role in Kenya's history, and it continues to be Nairobi's finest and best-known hotel.

The AGS Group says good-bye to Félix Gineau as he leaves to enjoy his retirement.
|
 |
Until recently, Félix managed AGS Martinique for quite a number of years. He has dedicated 16 years of his working life to AGS, during which he has gone beyond the call of duty.
Félix, who has become a legend in the group, began his career at Alligator Voyages under the auspices of AGS in 1993, and after some time, took on the role of branch manager at AGS Martinique.
We are also saying good-bye to Mrs Gineau, Félix's wife, who worked in the Accounting department at AGS Martinique. Mrs Gineau was appreciated and respected by all those who had the privilege of working with her.
Congratulations to Bertrand Chelim in his nomination as the new branch manager at AGS Martinique; we wish him every success. We believe that the training which he has received under Mr and Mrs Gineau has put him in good stead, and he could not ask for better mentors to help equip him for the position of branch manager.
We warmly wish Mr and Mrs Gineau a good retirement and all of the very best for the future.
