Congratulations and be Prosperous |
“Kung Hei Fat Choi” to all celebrating the Chinese New Year on 26 January 2009. This is the year of the ox, a dependable, calm and hardworking animal.
“Congratulations and be prosperous” is the Chinese way of greeting people over the New Year. This important Chinese holiday is known for family gatherings, festive feasts, fireworks and all-round goodwill. Red clothing and jewellery are popularly worn to ensure a new year filled with good luck.
Those celebrating the New Year across our network will meet with loved ones and friends, visualising good things to come. |

In the past year, the AGS group opened another four branches in Asia: in Jakarta, Indonesia, in Cebu and Manila, the Philippines and in Seoul, South Korea. This means that AGS now has 20 branches in nine of the region’s countries. In 2009, we plan to continue our expansion.
This year, the Chinese zodiac categorises the ox as a water sign. Water is symbolic of strength; it’s a power-generating element that is flexible and adaptable. We hope to continue to embody these characteristics. |

AGS would like to wish everyone celebrating the Chinese New Year “Congratulations and prosperity”.

The AGS Group has taken its first steps into the film industry and features in two films: “London, mon Amour“, featuring French actors Vincent Lindon, Virginie Ledoyen and Bernadette Lafont, which was released in France in July 2008, and later in the UK, Belgium, Czech Republic and Russia. The second film, “Sommeil Blanc”, with Hélène de Fougerolles, Marc Barré and Laurent Lucas will be screened in France in 2009. |
As a renowned mover, AGS provided material and trucks for some of the films' scenes offering us exposure to a broader market.
It is envisaged that the films will be very successful. “London mon amour”, already being screened, was launched simultaneously in France and in London. As the story unfolds in both cities, you’ll see AGS undertaking a removal. An AGS truck and AGS staff are clearly visible, ready to load personal effects which have been perfectly packed in AGS branded packing materials.

“Sommeil Blanc” is a French production where a young woman, living alone in a mountain chalet takes in a runaway boy. The ambiguous bond that is gradually forged between them will arouse the demons from the past. In “Sommeil Blanc”, a number of brand new AGS trucks are visible.
Do not be surprised if you and your family go to the movies this year, only to discover our trucks and our equipment on the big screen. AGS, ever closer to you.

F1 Renault’s Champion Move by AGS Guadeloupe |
The famous 2007 Formula 1 Renault racing car, driven by top dogs Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet Junior, during the 2007 Grand Prix season, was handled with great care and precision by AGS Guadeloupe. |
The car was shipped to Guadeloupe by a specialist in the handling of delicate goods. This operation required the utmost care and attention during transportation. The car arrived in August 2008 to be displayed at the “Cama Renault” show room, the local Renault car dealer.
Having spent six months in AGS Guadeloupe’s warehouse, it was time to ship the car back to the Renault Sport workshop in Paris. The crate was customised to the millimetre and it took four people to ensure that the vehicle was properly packed. The vehicle was strapped at all four wheels and covered with a tarpaulin. Once the crate was securely closed, it was carefully placed into the container. There was no room for error, given its dimensions and value.
Our abilities and expertise as a world-class mover are tried and tested every day, as our company moves individuals, whole organisations and other large and fragile effects to remote destinations around the globe.
Our international industry acclaim and reputation is hoisted with subsidiaries, like AGS Guadeloupe, who ensured the flawless and safe move of this formula 1 Renault racing car. |
