AGS Frasers Zimbabwe Grows Amidst Hardships

Despite the deteriorating economic situation in Zimbabwe, AGS Frasers Zimbabwe has moved to larger and more practical premises and has purchased a generator, to deal with frequent power cuts. All this has enabled improved communication and accessibility to our clients.

AGS Frasers maintains its operations in Zimbabwe, irrespective of the accumulation of difficulties. Rampant inflation resulted in devaluation of the currency at the beginning of September. The shortage of basic consumer goods and the deterioration of sanitation lead to a sharp increase in delinquency.

According to Eric Cable, the Managing Director of AGS Frasers Zimbabwe, performing daily operations has become extremely difficult. AGS continues to cope with the situation, as the experience which we acquired during the previous decade on the African continent has enabled us to ensure a quality service, to which our internationally-based clients are accustomed.

AGS Four Winds Thailand and PILC donate funds to the Fountain of Life Centre

The Pattaya International Ladies Club (PILC) recently held a fund-raising event called “Trivia Night” at the Fountain of Life Center, where approximately 70,000 baht was raised. AGS Four Winds sponsored this fund-raising initiative. The fund-raising event was a formidable success, and was a truly enjoyable occasion for all who attended.

Paul Wilkinson, of AGS Four Winds Thailand, together with the PILC welfare team, donated the proceeds to the Fountain of Life Centre. From the donation of 70,000 baht, 10,000 baht was forwarded to another charity, the Therapeutic Disabled Riding Scheme. Special thanks went out to Café New Orleans for the catering, and to AGS Four Winds for the sponsorship, as well as to Sister Joan for the use of the premises.

The Fountain of Life Centre is a community-based, non-governmental organization which is a day centre for disadvantaged children, providing education, health care, counseling, and therapy facilities, as well as preparing children for entry into government schools.

AGS Four Wind’s Business Ethics policy is in line with the principles of sustainable development, which takes into consideration social as well as environmental responsibilities, economic development and financial achievement. AGS Four Winds aims to fufill its social responsibility to the community, by participation in fund-raisers such as “Trivia Night”, and other related events and activities which are aimed at helping and improving the community.

AGS Brussels support the "Arc en Ciel" Organisation

AGS Brussels generously donated boxes to the “Arc en Ciel” organisation, which, in a joint effort with Oxfam, collected toys on the European Community premises, from the 25th to the 29th of June 2007.

The AGS boxes were dispersed all around the European Commission buildings, and this year the collection has been a great success. The numerous charity organisations, working with “Arc en Ciel” in Belgium, now have replenished stock of toys and books for the children’s enjoyment.

"Arc en Ciel" offers assistance to under-age and underprivileged youth. This organisation supports the development of the child by facilitating access to physical and educational activities.

AGS Brussels is proud to be of assistance to "Arc en Ciel", and will certainly continue to offer its support to this organisation next year.
