"A development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs" 1987 – Mrs Gro Harlem Brundtland, Norwegian Prime Minister.
Sustainable Development is an obligation to which we must urgently respond in order to benefit future generations.
For several years, the AGS Group has incorporated economical, ecological and social aspects into its work functions, thus promoting sustainable development. Our participation in the Global Compact adheres to these principles which AGS has practised for a number of years.
The AGS Group chose to adhere to the United Nation’s Global Compact, only after careful consideration. Unlike the ISO 14001 standard, which only focuses on the environmental aspect of its members' activities, Global Compact goes one step further. It incorporates 10 universal principles that promote environmental protection, human rights, labour standards and anti-corruption.
By virtue of its choice, the AGS Group commits not only to the continuous, efficient management of its carbon footprint, but to continue respecting and promoting the second principle of sustainable development, the social aspect of its economical activity.
