For every international move or 15 archive boxes stored, we plant a tree.

Established in 1994, AGS Bucharest has over 15 years experience and is a fully-owned subsidiary of the AGS Group. Being part of such a large removals company allows us to benefit from the AGS Group’s extensive network of 124 locations in 76 countries, and its experience and processes.
This includes high standards of quality service and the most prestigious accreditations. For this reason, we are regarded as one of the best removals companies in Romania.
AGS Bucharest specialises in both domestic and international removals, to and from Romania. Based in Bucharest, AGS Bucharest can assist you in English, French and, of course, Romanian. Approximately 650 move assignments are handled year.
With all the necessary resources at your disposal throughout your move, AGS Bucharest ensures a smooth and peaceful move.
AGS Romania also benefits from the AGS Group’s unique and advanced packing materials. Due to the size of the group and the number of removals operations carried out every year, the Group is able to provide its clients with various cartons that are tailored to the type of goods being transported. This increases the safety of the goods and allows for improved utilization of space, therefore reducing the cost of the removal.
In addition, our Romanian branch also uses versatile and reusable plastic boxes that can be used and reused several times. These boxes have been designed for intra-European moves, allow for a more efficient packing process and lower the costs for packing materials. The results are improved reactivity and services to our clients, at lower costs.
If you are moving from Romania, or have recently arrived back home and require storage for your goods, our 916 m² warehouse in Bucharest is available for all your goods, including your vehicle, on both a short- and long-term storage basis. Your goods are protected by a modern security system and are stored in climate-controlled conditions to provide protection against extreme weather temperatures and humidity.
We also offers archive management services to companies and organisations.

According to legend, Bucharest was named after a local shepherd, Bucur, whose name meant “joy” and who first discovered the city on the banks of the Dambovita River. Today the city, which is in the Southern part of Romania, is also the country’s capital. Bucharest is the largest city in Romania and spans about 88 square miles with a population of over 2 million inhabitants, 97% of whom are Romanian. Inhabitants are mainly Roman Catholic, Jewish, Muslim and Roman Greek Catholic. The city acquired the name “little Paris” in the early 1900s due to its architecture and culture. Crime, compared to other European cities, is also relatively low. Bucharest is known to be the communications, industrial and economic hub of the country.
Transylvania in Romania is infamous for its association to Bram Stoker’s mythical vampire, the Count Dracula. The fictional character is set in the region and is based on Stoker’s 1897 gothic horror novel, Dracula. The novelist was inspired by the real-life tales of Vlad Tepes, the son of Transylvania’s military governor, Vlad Dracul. His father received the title of Dracul (meaning dragon) as he was a member of the order of the dragon. Dracula translates to “Son of Dracul”. Vlad Dracula, who eventually became the ruler of Walachia in Romania, was a controversial figure and become known for impaling his enemies on stakes. Count Dracula has since become etched in popular culture like movies, cartoons and books, including Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles.
Even though only 9% of the Romanian population lives in Bucharest, the city accounts for 14% of the GDP of the country, and a third of its taxes are paid by the city’s inhabitants and companies.
The positive economic condition in the city has also led to a rise in the construction of supermarkets and modern towers. Many international supermarket chains have also set up shop in the city. Even the city’s unemployment rate is lower than the national average, making Bucharest the place of choice to live in Romania. Industry and service are the main sectors of the economy.
